Shararat (2003 film)

Shararat is a Pakistani Urdu film which was released in early 2003 across theaters in Pakistan. The movie was Samina Peerzada's sophomore directorial venture, but unlike her hit debut Inteha (1999), it was met with a rather mixed reaction at the theaters. The film is a romantic comedy which deals with the story of a Pakistani-American who returns to her native village in Punjab in Pakistan and the subsequent twist and turns in her love life. Moammar Rana starred opposite Mehr Hassan, who made her Lollywood debut with Shararat. Wajahat Attrey composed some super-hit film songs which included Raat Jaa Rahee Hai and Jugnu'on Sey Bhar Ley Aanchal, the latter having been sung by the teen sensation Ali Zafar and Shabnam Majeed with film song lyrics by Aqeel Ruby.

Shararat is a 2002 Bollywood comedy drama film directed by debutant Gurudev Bhalla and starring Abhishek Bachchan, Hrishitaa Bhatt and Amrish Puri in the lead roles. The film was released on 12 July 2002.

Shararat (TV series)

Shararat – thoda jaadu, thodi nazaakat (; translation: Mischief – a little magic, a little finesse) was an Indian fantasy- sitcom, originally broadcast on Star Plus channel from 2004 to 2009. Over the years, it has reaired on many channels, namely STAR Utsav, TV Asia, and Disney Channel India. Shararat is loosely similar to the American show Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. Despite initial competition from soap-operas and other fantasy shows, Shararat became very popular as the series progressed and has since become a cult-classic . After almost five years of airing, the show came to an end on 30 April, 2009 with 5 seasons. In September 2010, Disney Channel India bought the rights to the show. In July 2011, following the success of its remade series, Best of luck, Nikki, rumors arose that Disney India intended to reboot the show and premiere it sometime in 2012.for the reboot, it would stop the re-runs. The re-runs ended in December 2011. However, in February 2012, the network clarified that the network would air The Suite Life of Karan and Kabir, not the re-boot.

Shararat (1944 film)

Shararat (Mischief) is a 1944 Hindi comedy film directed by Kishore Sahu. Produced by Hindustan Chitra Productions, it had music by S. N. Tripathi and Khan Mastana. Following the commercial success of his earlier comedy film Kunwara Baap (1942), Sahu made another comedy with Shararat, which he not only directed and wrote the story for, but also cast himself in the main role. The actors co-starring with him were Maya Banerji, Protima Dasgupta, Ramesh Gupta, Sushil Sahu and Moni Chatterjee.

The film was about a young woman pretending to be insane in order to avoid an arranged marriage.
