Shakeaway

Shakeaway is a chain of Milkshake bar companies based in the UK.

Established by Rob Hazell and Peter Moody in 1999, the company sells milkshakes, smoothies, healthy shakes, hot shakes, hot drinks and cater for special dietary requirements such as dairy and nut free options. Available in selected stores, the company also sells fat free frozen yoghurt and fries. Shakeaway also have a large range of dairy-free milkshakes suitable for vegans and lactose intolerant people, using soya milk and soya ice cream instead of cow's milk.

The company sells milkshakes made from ice cream, milk and a flavour chosen by the customer. Products made by Nestle, Cadbury's, Mars and McVitie's amongst others are used as the additional flavours. During the summer of 2007 Shakeaway introduced the idea of adding "additude" to its milkshakes, this is where a customer can choose to add Protein, Muscle Builder, "Energy", Malt, Bran or Wheatgerm.

The first bar to open was on Post Office Road, Bournemouth in 1999, quickly followed by further bars in Southampton, Brighton and Bath. Since then the chain has expanded to include bars in, Reading, Fareham, Croydon, Kingston upon Thames, Bristol, Lakeside, Basingstoke, Edinburgh, Plymouth, Nottingham, Colchester, Salisbury, Ipswich, Watford, Worcester and many more. Shakeaway has also opened stores abroad in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, California and Georgia with stores coming soon in Pakistan, Oman, Dubai in United Arab Emirates, Qatar, New York, Houston Texas, Lebanon, South Africa and Malaysia.
