Shake It (Sakis Rouvas song)

"Shake It" is an English language song by Greek singer Sakis Rouvas and was the Greek entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004. The song is an up-tempo number, with Rouvas telling his lover that "I would trade my life for a night with you" and asking the lover to "shake it" for him. The music - by Nikos Terzis - also features some traditional Greek instrumentation as well as the heavy dance beats increasingly prominent at the Contest.

"Shake It" is a song by the American pop band Metro Station, released as the third single (and debut British single) from the group's 2007 self-titled debut studio album. The song impacted radio on April 1, 2008.

It is the band's first charting single, peaking at number ten on the Billboard Hot 100. Internationally, "Shake It" peaked within the top ten of the charts in Australia, Canada, the Republic of Ireland, the United Kingdom, Japan, Austria, Germany and New Zealand. The single was certified Gold by the RIAA on June 13, 2008 and later Platinum that year, until finally reaching 2x Platinum status at the end of January 2009. Metro Station appeared on TRL after the success of the song, serving milkshakes to the members of the crowd outside who could 'shake it' the best.

Shake It (Iain Matthews song)

"Shake It" is a popular song from 1978 by British singer Ian Matthews. It was the first single from Matthews' sixteenth studio LP, Stealin' Home, and became his greatest hit. It was written by singer-songwriter Terence Boylan, who recorded and released it in 1977.

Matthews' cover was a North American hit, peaking in late February 1979. In Canada it reached number six for two weeks. In the US, it reached number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 11 on Record World, and spent two weeks at number 10 on the Cashbox Top 100. "Shake It" spent 19 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, ranking it as the 73rd greatest hit of 1979.

The song is heard at the beginning of the 1980 movie Little Darlings. It can also be heard on the radio in the game The Warriors from Rockstar Games.
