Shabooty, also known by the nickname Shabooty Bieber, is a comedian & pop culture blogger based in Los Angeles, CA who writes Shabooty.com and at one time conducted celebrity interviews on LAist until 2008. Since then, "The Shabooty Interview Series" (a series of online celebrity interviews) has gained prominence and has become a trusted source in the world of entertainment. In 2009, LAWeekly called the series of interviews, "a nice collection".
Shabooty gained further notoriety in 2009 for breaking several news stories, one of which was an exclusive report, where it was unveiled that Michael Lohan's series of suicidal Twitter messages were a hoax.
In 2010, Los Angeles TV Personality Jillian Barberie-Reynolds spoke out in support of Shabooty and his brand of interviews and humor, "your tweets on their own are very funny. I love reading them, they’re just funny and it’s stuff that everybody thinks and nobody says."
In March 2011, Howard Stern pointed out on his SiriusXM radio show, that Twitter had recommended "Shabooty Bieber" as a user similar to him. This is because Shabooty.com has a strong focus on 'The Howard Stern Show' and Hip-Hop music.
