Selachii \Se*la"chi*i\, n. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. ??? a fish having cartilages instead of bones.] (Zo["o]l.) An order of elasmobranchs including the sharks and rays; the Plagiostomi. Called also Selacha, Selache, and Selachoidei.
