What is "schoenicola"

Schoenicola is a genus of Old World warbler in the Locustellidae family. There are two species, one from Africa and one from peninsular India. The genus has been placed in the subfamily Megalurinae.

It contains the following species:

• Fan-tailed grassbird (Schoenicola brevirostris)
• Broad-tailed grassbird (Schoenicola platyurus)
