The Satti are a tribe found in Punjab, Pakistan.
Satti is an exotic food. It signifies the unique ties between Christians and Muslims in Zamboanga City, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi. It is a mix of rice, pork or chicken barbecue and sweet-spicy sauce and put on a stick.
Satti is also a breakfast meal of the local residents Zamboanga. In Zamboanga, satti shops sometimes open up as early as 4 AM and by around midday it is rare to find a meal. One difference from its Malaysian counterpart, the satay, is the service per stick method in selling. Although the Satay in Malaysia is similar to regular BBQ, the satti has only 3 small strips of roasted meat on a stick. The meat can be made or come from beef, pork, liver or chicken.
