Sarada (1962 film)

Sarada is a 1962 Indian Tamil drama film directed by K. S. Gopalakrishnan in his directorial debut. The film was produced by A. L. Srinivasan under ALS Productions and stars S. S. Rajendran and C. R. Vijayakumari in the lead roles, while M. R. Radha, S. V. Ranga Rao and Asokan play pivotal roles. The film's soundtrack and background score were composed by K. V. Mahadevan, while the lyrics for the songs were written by Kannadasan.

Karnan and R. Devarajan handled cinematography and editing respectively. The film was released on 16 March 1962 and became successful at the box office. The film was remade in Hindi as Suhagan (1964) and in Telugu as Sumangali (1965).

Sarada (2016 film)

Sarada is an upcoming 2016 Indian Telugu romantic comedy film written and directed by G.Karthik Reddy. Produced by D. Kumar and P Keshav Rao under their Sri Venkateshwara Swamy Films banner, Sarada features Vishnu Manchu and Sonarika Bhadoria in the lead roles while Ravi Kishan appears in a crucial role. Anoop Rubens composes the film's score and soundtrack.

Production commenced in September 2015 and the film's principal photography began in the same month. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release in 2016.

Sarada (genus)

Sarada is a sister genus of Sitana, in the lizard genus Agamidae. It belongs to the group of fan-throated lizards. The genus, consisting of three species was erected in 2016 on the basis of molecular phylogenetic studies from across peninsular India.

This group of lizards are called the large fan-throated lizards. The scientific name finds its origin in a Marathi word used to refer to Agamidae. All known members of this genus are restricted to two Indian states, Maharashtra and northern parts of Karnataka.
