Saltibum is a Brazilian reality competition series broadcast on Rede Globo, based on the Celebrity Splash! format created by Dutch company Eyeworks.
The name Saltibum is a combination of the words Salto (Jump in Portuguese) and Tibum (a Portuguese onomatopoeia for Splash).
The series premiered on April 5, 2014, airing as a one-hour segment during Caldeirão do Huck, hosted by Luciano Huck.
BASC supervisor and BOC member Eduardo Falcão and Olympic athlete Hugo Parisi were judges while Roberto Gonçalves, Andrea Boehme, Cassius Duran and Juliana Veloso mentored the competitors.
On May 22, 2014, Rede Globo renewed the show for a second season.
Saltibum is the first season of the Brazilian version of Celebrity Splash!. The season premiered on April 5, 2014 and run for 9 weeks, ending on May 31, 2014 on Rede Globo.
Actor Rômulo Neto won the competition over actress Camilla Camargo by a difference of 1.0 point.
The second season of Saltibum premiered on April 11, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. ( BRT/ AMT) on Rede Globo.
This season will have two winners (one male and one female), as opposed to the single winner format used in previous season.
