The Safina ( Swahili for "Ark") is a political party in Kenya. At the legislative elections on 27 December 2007, the party won 5 out of 210 elected seats.
The Party Leader is Paul Kibugi Muite, a former Member of Parliament for Kabete constituency and a Senior Counsel at the Kenyan Bar. He and his running mate, Dr. Shem Ochudho, are contestants for the Presidency of Kenya in the . The party is also fielding 4 candidates for Governor; 10 candidates for the Senate; 10 County Women Representatives; 52 candidates for the National Assembly; and 400 candidates for the County Assemblies across the country.
The Safina party's highest organ is a National Executive Council which meets twice a year. The NEC is elected for 4 year terms by a National Delegates Convention. The current NEC was elected on July 15, 2011.
