Rumelia (; , , Romylía, or Ρούμελη, Roúmeli; ; Macedonian and , Rumelija and , Rumeliya), also known as Turkey in Europe, was a historical term describing the area now referred to as the Balkans or the Balkan Peninsula when it was administered by the Ottoman Empire.
