Rohini (satellite)

Rohini is the name given to a series of satellites launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The Rohini series consisted of four satellites, all of which were launched by the Satellite Launch Vehicle (SLV) and three of which made it successfully to orbit. The series were mostly experimental satellites.

Rohini (Buddha's disciple)

Rohini was one of Buddha's chief lay female disciples. She was a cousin of Buddha and sister of Anuruddha. She declined to enter the order of nuns with MahaPajapati Gotami. She attained stream entry and upon death entered heaven.

Rohini (rocket family)

Rohini is a series of sounding rockets developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for meteorological and atmospheric study. These sounding rockets are capable of carrying payloads of between altitudes of . The ISRO currently uses RH-200, RH-300, RH-300 Mk-II and RH-560 Mk-II rockets, which are launched from the Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station (TERLS) in Thumba and the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota.

Rohini (Krishna's wife)

Rohini is a queen of Hindu god Krishna, an avatar of the god Vishnu and the king of Dwarka - in the Dwapara Yuga (epoch). She is mentioned as a queen in the Hindu epic Mahabharata, the Vishnu Purana, the Bhagavata Purana and the Harivamsa, an appendix of the Mahabharata. Krishna is described to have the eight principal queen-consorts, the Ashtabharya and 16,000 or 16,100 other wives; Rohini is described as one of the Ashtabharya or identified with the queen Jambavati in some lists and head of the other wives in a list.
