Rich Hill (pitcher)

Richard Joseph Hill (born March 11, 1980) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played in MLB for the Chicago Cubs, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, and Oakland Athletics. Hill made his MLB debut in 2005.

Rich Hill (Bel Alton, Maryland)

Rich Hill, near Bel Alton, Maryland, was owned by Colonel Samuel Cox during the US Civil War, who harbored sympathies for the Confederate cause. Following the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln on April 14, 1865, Cox hid assassin John Wilkes Booth and his companion, David Herold, in a swamp near Rich Hill. Booth and Herold left the property on April 21, crossing the Potomac River in a small boat. Following Booth's capture, Cox was tried and convicted of aiding Booth, receiving a light sentence.

The house is significant in its own right, showing characteristic features of southern Maryland house construction.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

Rich Hill (baseball coach)

Rich Hill (born c. 1962) is an American college baseball coach, head coach of the NCAA Division I West Coast Conference's San Diego Toreros since prior to the 1999 season. Prior to San Diego, Hill was the head coach of the Cal Lutheran Kingsmen from 1988-1993 and the San Francisco Dons from 1994-1998. Hill's career head coaching record is 850-570-3, as of the end of the 2013 season.

Prior to his coaching career, Hill played college baseball briefly at San Diego State before transferring to Cal Lutheran to finish his college career. He played one season of professional baseball (1985) with the Class-A Savannah Cardinals.

Rich Hill is a 2014 American documentary film co-produced and directed by Andrew Droz Palermo and Tracy Droz Tragos. The film premiered in the competition category of U.S. Documentary Competition program at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival on January 19, 2014. It won the U.S. Grand Jury Prize: Documentary Award at the festival.

After its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, The Orchard and Independent Lens acquired distribution rights to the film. Independent Lens broadcast the film nationally on PBS, while The Orchard distributed the film in the U.S. and Canada outside of linear broadcast. The film was released on August 1, 2014 in the United States.
