Rebounding lock

Rebound \Re*bound"\ (r[-e]*bound"), v. i. [Pref. re- + bound: cf. F. rebondir.]

  1. To spring back; to start back; to be sent back or reverberated by elastic force on collision with another body; as, a rebounding echo.
