Raveendran

M. Raveendran (born Kulathupuzha, Kollam, 9 November 1941 – died Chennai, Tamil Nadu, 3 March 2005), fondly known as "Raveendran Master", was a popular South Indian music composer and playback singer from Kerala. He was referred to as the aristocratic music director of Malayalam who had a distinctive style of his own. He composed more than 150 films primarily for the Malayalam and Tamil film industries. He also composed a few albums, including Vasantha Geethangal.

Raveendran (actor)

Raveendran (Ravindher) is an Indian actor, primarily concentrating in Malayalam and Tamil films. He was a very busy actor in both these languages in 1980's. He debuted in Tamil mega hit Oru Thalai Ragam. He was the second lead in Kamal Hassan and Rajnikanth movies like, Sagalakala Vallavan, Per Sollum Pillai, Ram Lakshman, Ranga, Thankamagan and Pokkiri Raja. But he concentrated more in Malayalam movies and was a part of numerous hit films until he decided to quit movies. He has also done major roles in Echchil Iravugal, Poikkal Kudhirai, En Priyame and '' Kutravaaligal.

He announced his comeback to films and did smaller roles until 2013, when he played one of the lead roles in Idukki Gold directed by Aashiq Abu and Kili Poyi. He has played a wonderful barber character in the 80's Tamil movie 'Poi Kaal kuthirai'. He made his debut as story writer through Sathyan Anthikad's Ennum Eppozhum. He is the festival director of Kochi Metro (Malayalam) Short Film Fest. He is also an interior designer.
