Rajasekhar (actor)

Rajasekhar (born Rajasekhar Varadharajan on 4 February 1962) is an Indian film actor known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema and few Tamil films. In a career spanning more than thirty years, he acted in a variety of roles. He starred in Blockbusters films like Talambralu, Shrutilayalu,Aahuti, Ankusam, Magaadu, Allari Priyudu, Anna,Omkaram, Suryudu, Sivayya, Manasunna maaraju,Maa Annayya,Simha Raasi,Evadithe Nakenti & Gorintaku. The film Anna which premiered at International Film Festival of India. Rajasekhar won 2 Filmfare Awards Best actor - Telugu for the films Magaadu & Anna. In his Entire Career he has acted in more than 75 Movies.

Rajasekhar (director)

Rajasekhar was an Indian film director and producer of Kollywood. He was one of the most successful director of 1980's and his major works were with Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan .Almost all of Rajnikanth's mid to late 80's blockbusters like Thambikku Entha Ooru, Padikkadavan, Maapillai and Dharma Dorai were directed by Rajasekhar. He was also the director of Kamal Haasan movies Vikram, the first Tamil film which crossed the budget of 1 crore and Kakki Chattai, the cult entertainer. He also directed Malaiyoor Mambattiyan which was a sliver jublee hit , and Maaveeran the only movie that did not do well in box office. He also directed Vijaykanth movie Eetti and Cooliekkaran which was a silver jublee hit.

He died shortly before the 100 days celebration of his last film Dharma Dorai in an accident in the year 1991.
