Quikly

Quikly is an online marketing platform that creates short-term promotional offers for products from various companies. People who sign up for the platform are sent text messages or email alerting them to a new offer; they then compete with other subscribers to respond to the offer as quickly as possible. Those who respond the fastest are given a more favorable deal.

The company, based in Detroit, was founded in 2012 by Shawn Geller. It promotes itself to businesses as "[replicating] the motivations behind consumer behavior on Black Friday", which Forbes describes as "anticipation, scarcity, fear of missing out and competition".
