Quidem

Quidem is a UK-based media company which operates radio stations.

Quidem is a new company established by Steve Orchard and Wendy Pallot, former Group Operations Director and former Group Finance Director respectively of GCap Media, to work in the local radio sector. Mr Orchard is the chief executive of the new company and Wendy Pallot the chairman. The company has been financed privately. Former GCap Chief Executive Ralph Bernard is a director of the company according to the records on the Companies House website.

In June 2009, they purchased the Touch Radio Network of stations in the Midlands from Cumbria-based media company The CN Group for an undisclosed price. In October 2010 former Touch station Banbury Sound rejoined the network. The two former Lincs FM Group stations broadcasting as Oak FM in Leicestershire joined the group in 2012. Both Oak FM stations were acquired by East Midlands based ATR Media in August 2015.

The station has two networks under the leadership of Content Manager Simon Alexander, one is a female-skewed Adult Contemporary network, the other is a male-skewed Adult Hits network, which generally broadcasts to more crowded markets, where the format provides a point-of-difference against commercial competition generally consisting of the female-skewed networks run by Global Radio and Orion Media.
