Psychrometer \Psy*chrom"e*ter\, n. [Gr. psychro`s cold + -meter: cf. F. psychrom[`e]tre.] An instrument for measuring the tension of the aqueous vapor in the atmosphere, being essentially a wet and dry bulb hygrometer.
