What is "pseudotrichonotus"

Pseudotrichonotus is a small genus of aulopiform fish consisting of just two species, commonly called sandliving lizardfishes or sand-diving lizardfishes. This is the only genus in the family Pseudotrichonotidae.

As their scientific name suggests, they physically resemble the sandfish (genus Trichonotus). They are small fish, about long, living on sandy sea floors in the southeastern Pacific, and are related to the true lizardfishes.
