privacy seal

n. (context Internet English) An online branded trust mark or seal of approval logo which is used by third party site verification entities, (i.e. Truste, BBB, Guardian e-Commerce, etc.) to help protect online consumers by identifying Web sites that have been verified for protecting the online privacy and safety of consumers.
