Prescuta
Prescutum \Pre*scu"tum\, n.; pl. Prescuta. [NL. See Pr[ae]-, and Scutum.] (Zo["o]l.) The first of the four pieces composing the dorsal part, or tergum, of a thoracic segment of an insect. It is usually small and inconspicuous.
