Prema (actress)

Neravanda Chengappa Prema (born 6 January 1977), known popularly as Prema, is an Indian film actress. She has worked as a lead actress in numerous Kannada and Telugu films besides working in a few Tamil and Malayalam films. She has appeared in many commercially successful and critically acclaimed feature films. She received the Karnataka State Film Award and Filmfare Best Actress awards for her performances in Kannada films. She has featured in Om and Yajamana, which are the two major blockbuster and highest grossing films of their time in Kannada Cinema.

She has shared screen space with Vishnuvardhan, Mohanlal, Venkatesh, Jagapati Babu, Mohan Babu, Krishna, Shivrajkumar, V. Ravichandran, Upendra, Saikumar, and Ramesh Aravind . She has also starred opposite many actors in her career spanning over two decades.

Prema (musician)

Prema Lucas (better known simply as Prema) was born in Taiping, Malaysia. Educated in Australia where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Adelaide University, Prema started her singing career busking and singing in pubs. Rozlan Aziz of R.A.P showed a keen interest in Prema's career upon her return to Malaysia and she was invited to perform as a guest artiste at the Ikhlas concert in Malaysia at Merdeka to 45,000 people.

Prema was then signed to Warner Music (Malaysia) where she started work on her self-titled debut album, Prema. Her first single, "Alive Again" was released in 1997 which resulted in her first music video for the song. Her second music video was released in 1998 for the track "Oblivion". This album was nominated for four AIM awards in Malaysia.

In 1999, Prema left Malaysia and Warner Music to relocate to England where she spent time writing for Warner Chappell (Malaysia).

In 2008, Prema began work on her second album under her own record label, MoreReverb.com. The album entitled In Fusion, released in early 2009, was written and produced by Prema, however the Motown guitarist Wah Wah Watson produced and arranged his guitar parts. This album features the musicians Wah Wah Watson, Peter Erskine ( Weather Report), Luis Perdomo, Damian Erskine and Bashiri Johnson.

Prema (film)

Prema ( Telugu: ప్రేమ) is a 1952 Telugu drama film produced and directed by P. S. Ramakrishna Rao of Bharani Pictures and starring A. Nageswara Rao and P. Bhanumathi. Bhanumathi wrote the story for the first time. It is dubbed into Tamil language entitled Kaadhal

Prema (1989 film)

Prema (English: Love) is a 1989 Telugu Musical Romance film produced by D. Ramanaidu on Rajeswari Films banner, directed by Suresh Krissna. Starring Venkatesh, Revathi played the lead roles, with original soundtrack by Ilaiyaraaja. The film was a musical blockbuster of the time, but recorded as Average at the box-office. It was dubbed in Tamil as Anbu Chinnam. Suresh remade the film in Hindi as Love with Salman Khan and Revathi.

Prema was an Indian actress in Malayalam movies. She was an actress acted mainly in supporting roles and mother roles, during the 1960s and 1970s. She had acted more than 50 movies. She was the mother of actress Shobha.

Prema (2002 film)

Prema is a 2002 Indian Kannada film written and directed by Suresh Raj. It stars Prema as the titular protagonist, and Shivadhwaj in the lead roles. The supporting cast features Lakshmi, Vijay, and Dharma.
