Prelacies

Prelacy \Prel"a*cy\, n.; pl. Prelacies. [LL. praelatia. See Prelate; cf. Prelaty.]

  1. The office or dignity of a prelate; church government by prelates.

    Prelacies may be termed the greater benefices.
