Pottuvil
Pottuvil or Pothuvil or Poththuvil ( Sinhala:පොතුවිල්) is a town in the Ampara District of Sri Lanka, located on the eastern coast of the Island. It is situated north of the popular tourist destination Arugam Bay.
Pottuvil was affected by 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
The town's population in 2007 was 33,625.
