What is "polmak"

Polmak ( and ) is a village and a former municipality in Finnmark county in Norway. It is located in the southern part of the present-day municipality of Tana. It stretched from Leavvajohka in the west to Polmak village in the east and then on both sides of the Tana River north river to the Tana Bridge.
