What is "plumbus"

A Plumbus is a fictional item that makes multiple appearances in the animated television series Rick and Morty. In the series it is depicted as a bulbous and flesh colored device that is marketed as if it has been well integrated into daily life, although its exact use remains as yet unknown to the viewer. Its first appearance was in the season 2 episode " Interdimensional Cable 2: Tempting Fate", where it stars in separate scenes, including one which parodies the Discovery Channel series How It's Made. The Plumbus appears suggestively "Pornographic" in nature.

The Plumbus was also featured in the trailer for Rick and Morty Simulator: Virtual Rick-ality.

The Season 2 DVD release comes with a fictitious plumbus-making instruction manual written in an alien language.
