Pithecolobium Saman
Zamang \Za*mang"\, n. (Bot.)
An immense leguminous tree ( Pithecolobium Saman) of
Venezuela. Its branches form a hemispherical mass, often one
hundred and eighty feet across. The sweet pulpy pods are used
commonly for feeding cattle. Also called rain tree.
