Pistah (song)
"Pistah: The Run Anthem" is a song composed by Rajesh Murugesan and sung by Shabareesh Varma for the Malayalam Tamil bilingual Neram starring Nivin Pauly and Nazriya Nazim. The lyric of the song is apparently the creation of the Malayalam veteran actor Jagathi Sreekumar for the 1983 Malayalam movie Kinnaram. Additional lyrics were added by Shabareesh Varma. A music video was released in March 2013 and went viral. The video was directed by Alphonse Putharen. The song was a tribute to Jagathy Sreekumar, who had met with an accident just over a year before its release. The song has been used as the promo song for IPL 2016 .
