What is "pirch"

PIRCH or pIRCh is a shareware Internet Relay Chat (IRC) client published by Northwest Computer Services. Its name is an acronym – PolarGeek's IRC Hack.

The last version of the program, known as PIRCH98, was released in 1998. PIRCH has in the past been considered to be the number-two Windows IRC client behind mIRC.

PIRCH inspired the creation of Vortec IRC due to a lack of software updates.

PIRCH is an American retail company based in San Diego, California. Founded in 2009, it specializes in fixtures and appliances for the kitchen, bath and outdoors. The company has received several prizes and honors as a retailer and for the design of their showrooms, where customers can find what they are going to buy properly installed and working. It was listed as number 25 on the 2015 Forbes list of America's Most Promising Companies. The company changed its name from Fixtures Living to PIRCH in August 2013.
