What is "philonotion"

Philonotion is a genus of plants in the Araceae. It has three known species, native to tropical South America ( Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, the Guianas). Some authorities regard it as part of the related genus Schismatoglottis.
