Peucoteles
Peucoteles is a genus of moth in the family Gelechiidae. It contains the species Peucoteles herpestica, which is found in India ( Assam).
The wingspan is about 9 mm. The forewings are whitish-grey, the basal fourth suffused ferruginous, limited by a transverse series of three small black tufts, the uppermost double. There is a median fascia of ferruginous suffusion, including a black tuft on the fold and the apical fourth is suffusedly irrorated darker grey, including a blotch of ferruginous suffÂusion towards the tornus, preceded by a small black tuft. The hindwings are light blue-grey.
The larvae feed on Pinus khasia.
