Percalates

Percalates is a recently resurrected genus containing the medium-sized, predatory, catadromous fish Australian bass ( Percalates novemaculeata) and estuary perch ( Percalates colonorum), which are endemic to coastal rivers and estuaries of south-eastern Australia. They have traditionally been included in Macquaria instead. They are highly valued recreational fishing species.
