What is "patrudu"

Patrudu or Nagaralu is a social community or caste found mostly in the south Indian state Andhra Pradesh. The Patrudu population is distributed mostly in the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh like Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Anakapalle, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam etc.

Patrudus or Nagarajlu are considered as a sub-caste of kings or kapu ofl kapu community. The caste title is Patrudu indicating those who are appropriate to receive the gift.
