Parapeptone
Parapeptone \Par`a*pep"tone\, n. [Pref. para- + peptone.] (Phisiol. Chem.) A proteinaceous body formed in small quantity by the peptic digestion of proteids. It can be converted into peptone by pancreatic juice, but not by gastric juice.
