Parablast
Parablast \Par"a*blast\, n. [Cf. Gr. ? to grow beside. See
Para-, and -blast.] (Biol.)
A portion of the mesoblast (of peripheral origin) of the
developing embryo, the cells of which are especially
concerned in forming the first blood and blood vessels.
