Para-Cresidine
para-Cresidine is an intermediate that is used to create dyes and pigments. It is a light yellow to light brown solid with the chemical formula CHON or CHOCH(CH)NH. It appears as white crystals. Its carcinogen category is 2, and upon heating it produces toxic fumes including nitrogen oxides. It reacts with strong oxidants and some forms of plastic, rubber, and coatings. para-Cresidine is possibly carcinogenic to humans. It boils at 235 °C, melts at 51.5 °C, and is not very soluble in water.
