Pannur is a village in Thiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu.
The village is close to the Tamil Nadu - Andhra Pradesh border and a majority of the populace are Roman Catholics and Kamma Naidus with Telugu-speakers.
Pannur village has contributed one bishop, and many number of priests and nuns to serve to humanity throughout the world in the fields of social work, hospital management and educational institution.
Pannur is a 300-year-old village. Telugu-speaking community from Guntur district (Andhra Pradesh), migrated around 1700 AD and settled initially in Kilacheri (around 8 km from the village)and subsequently a group moved to Pannur.
The Church of 'Our Lady Of Good Health', 150 years old, is located at the centre of the village. Pannur celebrates the festival of Our Lady Of Health on 31 May.

Pannur is located on the state highway connecting Thiruvallur and Kanchipuram and is 55 km from Chennai city.
Agriculture has been the main source of income, till the 1960s and 70s.
