Pandurate

Pandurate \Pan"du*rate\, Panduriform \Pan*du"ri*form\, a. [L. pandura a pandore + -form: cf. F. panduriforme.]

  1. Obovate, with a concavity in each side, like the body of a violin; fiddle-shaped; as, a panduriform leaf; panduriform color markings of an animal.

  2. (Bot.) Shaped like a fiddle; -- of a leaf.
