What is "panayapatti"

Panayapatti is an old chola /pandaya dynasty mutharaiyar village and current chettinad village in Pudukkottai municipality, Tamil Nadu, India. It has five Karai peoples and 385 Pulligal. Karai refers peoples of five main temples in village. Pulligal is a plural form of Pulli (means a dot) in Tamil. A pulli refers to a registered Nattukottai Nagarathar family.
