Panay (; ) is a triangular island in the Philippines located in the western part of the Visayas. It is about across ranking the sixth largest of the islands in the country. Politically, it is divided into four provinces: Aklan, Antique, Capiz, and Iloilo, all in the Western Visayas Region. It is located southeast of the island of Mindoro and northwest of Negros, separated by the Guimaras Strait. Between Negros and Panay Island lie the island-province of Guimaras. To the north is the Sibuyan Sea and the islands of Romblon; to the southwest is the Sulu Sea and the Panay Gulf.

The island, bisected by Central Panay Mountain Range, has many rivers including Akean, Sibalom River in Antique, Jalaur River, Jaro River (inc. Ticud and Aganan tributaries), Banica, Sibalom, Tipulu-an, Mao-it, Iloilo, and Panay. Mount Porras is one of the highest peak on the island.

Panay (Catanduanes)

Panay is a small island in the Philippines, located northwest of Catanduanes Island in the Bicol Region. It is often confused with the much larger Panay Island in Western Visayas. The island is politically under the province of Catanduanes and subdivided between the municipalities of Bagamanoc and Panganiban.

Panay (film)

Panay is a 2015 feature film directed by Taiwanese director Cheng Yu-Chieh and Lekal Sumi Cilangasan.

Panay is a very common female name among the Taiwanese Indigenous tribe, it simply stands the beautiful spike of rice.

This is one of the few Taiwanese movies that filmed from an indigenous perspective. Through the cross ethnic cooperation between two directors, Cheng Yu-Chieh (Han) and Lekal Sumi (Pangcah). Actors are mostly new to the stage, they are fresh yet persuasive. The movie was being awarded the Audience Choice Award from the Taipei Film Festival. Panay's theme song “Aka pisawad” won the Best Original Film Song of the 52th Golden Horse Awards.
