Pan paniscus
bonobo \bo*no"bo\ (b[-o]*n[=o]"b[=o]), n. an anthropoid ape ( Pan paniscus), resembling but smaller than the common chimpanzee ( Pan troglodytes); -- called also pygmy chimpanzee. It is found in the forests of Zaire.
