Oxatomide (R35443) is a first-generation antihistamine of the diphenylmethylpiperazine (benzhydrylpiperazine) class. It was discovered at Janssen Pharmaceutica in 1975. Oxatomide lacks any anticholinergic effects. In addition to its H receptor antagonism, it also possesses antiserotonergic actions.
