Ortrud
Ortrud is a feminine given name. It also has variant forms Ortraud and Ortrude.
It is an uncommon name from Old High German, from the roots "ort," meaning "sword point," and "trud," meaning "power." It is thus similar in meaning and origin to the much more common name Gertrude.
It is best known as a role Richard Wagner's opera Lohengrin.
