What is "ortonovo"

Ortonovo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of La Spezia in the Italian region Liguria, located about southeast of Genoa and about east of La Spezia.

It is the easternmost commune in Liguria, bordering Tuscany at the feet of the Apuan Alps. The communal territory include the frazione of Luni, one of the most important cities in the area in Roman and early medieval times.
