Nearby is an important neolithic gravesite, the Oldendorfer Totenstatt which has been well preserved.

Oldendorf (Samtgemeinde)

Oldendorf is a former Samtgemeinde ("collective municipality") in the district of Stade, in Lower Saxony, Germany. Its seat was in the village Oldendorf. It was disbanded on 1 January 2014, when it was merged with the Samtgemeinde Himmelpforten to form the new Samtgemeinde Oldendorf-Himmelpforten.

The Samtgemeinde Oldendorf consisted of the following municipalities:

Oldendorf (Celle district)

Oldendorf (meaning: "old village") is a village in the municipality of Südheide in the northern part of Celle district in Lower Saxony, Germany. It lies on the western edge of the Southern Heath Nature Park, on the Lüneburg Heath, about 2 km south of the main village of Hermannsburg and currently has about 640 inhabitants. In 1973 Oldendorf was incorporated into Hermannsburg as part of the Lower Saxony regional and administrative reforms.
