Oak Island is a privately owned island in Lunenburg County on the south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. The tree-covered island is one of about 360 small islands in Mahone Bay and rises to a maximum of above sea level. The island is located from shore and connected to the mainland by a causeway and gate.

The island is best known for various theories about possible buried treasure or historical artifacts, and the associated exploration.

Oak Island (North Carolina)

Oak Island is a barrier island on the Atlantic coast of southeastern North Carolina in Smithville Township, Brunswick County. The island contains the towns of Oak Island and Caswell Beach as well as the North Carolina Baptist Assembly and a United States Coast Guard station, which is home to the Oak Island Lighthouse. Although the area has been called Oak Island since colonial times, it only became a true island with the construction of the Intracoastal Waterway. It is about 12 miles long and averages about one mile wide; roughly 8000 people live on the island year-round, which can balloon up to 40,000 during the summer.

Oak Island (South Carolina)

Oak Island, also known as the William Seabrook, Jr. House, is a historic plantation house located at Edisto Island, Charleston County, South Carolina. It was built about 1828-1831, and is a 2 1/2-story, five bay, rectangular, central-hall, frame, weatherboard-clad residence with a projecting two-story rear pavilion. It features two, massive, interior chimneys with heavily corbelled caps and a one-story, wraparound hipped roof porch.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
