What is "nordfold"

Nordfold is a village and former municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The administrative centre was the village Nordfold. The municipality encompassed the southern part of the present-day municipality of Steigen and the northern part of the present-day municipality of Sørfold.

The village of Nordfold lies along the Nordfolda fjord, about east of the municipal centre of Leinesfjorden. It is the location of the Nordfold Church.
