A picture of the Van Hoesen House (Kinderhook Station) located in Niverville NY. This picture was taken in 2005. The 2nd picture is looking from the upstairs deck out to the tracks. To the right of the white car is where the loading platform was located. The foundation still remains, though the wooden structure was torn down in the 1950s. The station itself was built in the 1840s by the Western Railroad of Massachusetts, and became part of the Boston and Albany Railroad in 1870. Service to this station ceased in the late 1940s. The building presently has 3 apartments upstairs and a tavern on the ground floor.
