What is "nightwatch"

Nightwatch is a 1997 American horror- thriller film directed by Ole Bornedal and starring Ewan McGregor, Patricia Arquette, Josh Brolin and Nick Nolte. It was written by Bornedal and Steven Soderbergh. It is a remake of the Danish film Nattevagten (1994), which was also directed by Bornedal.

In the Babylon 5 science fiction universe, Nightwatch was an Earth Alliance paramilitary organization set up during the Presidency of Morgan Clark. Like the Gestapo of Nazi Germany, Nightwatch became the secret police organization of Clark's New Order.

Nightwatch is a fictional super hero who has appeared in various comic book series published by Marvel Comics. He exists in Marvel's main shared universe, known as the Marvel Universe.

Nightwatch is the second solo album from Kenny Loggins, released in 1978 (see 1978 in music). The album is Loggins' highest charting album on the Billboard 200 to date, reaching number 7.

It features the hit single "Whenever I Call You Friend" featuring Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks (co-written with Melissa Manchester), which peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as the first recorded version of the Doobie Brothers classic " What a Fool Believes," which Loggins co-wrote with the Doobies' Michael McDonald.

Most of the artists on this album represent Loggins' original band from 1977 to 1980.

Nightwatch is a 1994 Danish thriller film directed and written by Danish director Ole Bornedal. The film involves Martin ( Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) who gets a student job as night watchman at the Forensic Medicine Institute. When making his rounds he finds he must go to where the deceased people are kept. At the same time, a series of murders occur among women in Copenhagen as well as mysterious and unexplained things happening in the medical department.

Nightwatch was a success in Denmark and was shown at the Fantafestival in 1995. An American remake of the film which was also directed by Bornedal, was released in 1997. The original Nightwatch was included on a list of the top 100 Danish film as chosen by Kosmorama.
